Welcome to Subtillo. By downloading, installing, or using the Subtillo application ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Description of Service
Subtillo is a mobile application that provides automatic subtitle generation, transcription, and translation services for video and audio content. The app processes your media files using speech recognition and translation technologies to produce subtitles.
2. Account Registration
- You must create an account to use the app. You may register with an email address and password, or through Apple Sign-In.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use this service.
- Your account is for your personal use. You may not share, sell, or transfer it, or let other people use it.
- An account can be signed in on up to 3 devices at the same time. Signing in on another device ends the session on the device that was used least recently; that device will need to sign in again.
3. Subscriptions & Payments
- Subtillo offers subscription plans and one-time in-app purchases processed through Apple In-App Purchases.
- Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (weekly, monthly, or yearly) depending on the plan you select.
- Free trial periods, if offered, automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings.
- Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies.
- Some features, such as Pro caption templates, require an active paid subscription. Free caption templates remain available on the free plan. The available templates and features may change over time.
4. Usage Limits
- Each subscription plan includes a specific amount of processing minutes per billing period.
- Additional minutes may be purchased as one-time in-app purchases.
- Unused minutes from your subscription do not roll over to the next billing period.
- We reserve the right to modify usage limits with reasonable notice.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Upload content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Use automated tools to access or interact with the service beyond normal app usage
- Share your account credentials with others or allow unauthorized access to your account
- Attempt to get around usage limits, device limits, or subscription restrictions
- Upload malicious, harmful, or inappropriate content
6. Intellectual Property
- The app, its design, features, and underlying technology are the property of Subtillo and are protected by intellectual property laws.
- You retain ownership of the content you upload. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the service.
- Generated subtitles and translations belong to you, the user.
- Animated emoji: Noto Animated Emoji by Google, licensed under CC BY 4.0; adapted in size and with entry and exit animation.
7. Content & Accuracy
Subtillo uses automated speech recognition and translation technologies. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that transcriptions or translations will be error-free. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated content before use.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Account Termination
- You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
- Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases, and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Istanbul, Turkey.
